Palm Coast
Nestled on Florida's East Coast, located just off Interstate 95, Palm Coast was started in 1969 by ITT Community Development Corporation.
Twenty-five years after development started, Palm Coast has become one of the nation's most successful planned communities. We've seen a decade of rapid growth that continues today in population, commercial development, industry, housing, resort facilities, public services, education; the entire spectrum of community progress. Yet, the challenges of growth-congestion, overtaxed public systems, loss of green space-have been largely avoided through sensible planning and the quality of life continues to improve. So does the quality of living.
Currently, the City of Palm Coast has a population of 60,000 residents and covers an area of approximately 60 square miles.
Palm Coast's convenient motels provide the ideal "home base" for making day visits to explore the peace and serenity of Palm Coast - a Florida paradise.
Fun, active recreation and leisure are all in abundance here. Enjoy relaxing strolls and bike rides along the many trails carved among the most beautiful scenery in Florida. Relax at our shoreline and enjoy the Florida sunshine.
Now a vibrant and thriving community, Palm Coast is diverse in all aspects: race, religion, culture, age and demographics. Commerce has grown to make this not only an attractive place to live, but also a great place to bring your businesses.
Palm Coast provides fire services, development services, street construction and maintenance, and recreational activities. Law enforcement is provided by contract with the Flagler County Sheriff's Department. Plans are underway for construction of a new City Hall, a town center, new fire stations and additional land for parks.
